When reading your results, keep in mind the scale of each unit. Centimeters and inches are suited for small objects like clothing measurements, furniture, or body dimensions. Meters and feet work best for room sizes, building heights, and human-scale distances. Kilometers and miles are appropriate for city distances, travel, and geographic measurements. A value of 100 meters equals approximately 328 feet — about the length of a football field. One mile equals 1.60934 kilometers, a useful benchmark for running and driving distances.
