Use this Date Calculator to find the exact number of days between two dates, or to add/subtract a specific number of days from any date. It’s perfect for planning deadlines, counting down to events, estimating delivery windows, and checking timelines without doing manual calendar math.
This calculator works in two modes:
1) Days between two dates — it counts calendar-day difference between your selected start and end date.
2) Add/subtract days — it shifts the base date forward (positive number) or backward (negative number) by the number of days you enter.
When you enable Show time difference in all units, the calculator also shows weeks, months, and years. Those values are approximations based on average month/year lengths, while the Days value remains the most exact result for most real-world use cases.
If you need a strict answer for contracts, deadlines, or scheduling, rely on Days or use Add/subtract mode to get an exact resulting date. Weeks, months, and years are helpful for quick planning, but months and years vary in length, so treat them as estimates.
Tip: If you’re counting an inclusive range (e.g., “including the start day”), take the Days result and add 1.

From Feb 1 to Feb 21 is 20 calendar days. Weeks/months/years are shown as approximations.

This is useful for setting a deadline or planning a delivery date from a known starting point.

Negative values move backward in time. Great for finding the start date of a 2-week period.
By default, the calculator returns the number of calendar days between the start and end date. If you need inclusive counting (including both the start and end day), simply add 1 to the Days result.
Months can have 28, 29, 30, or 31 days, and years can be 365 or 366 days. To provide quick planning estimates, the calculator uses average month/year lengths for months and years. For exact scheduling, rely on the Days value or the resulting date in add/subtract mode.
Yes. In add/subtract mode, enter a negative number (for example, -10) to move backward in time from the base date.
Yes. The day difference is based on actual calendar dates, including leap years. That’s why the Days result is the most reliable for precise planning.
Use Add/subtract days mode. Enter the start date (for example, today) and the number of days you need. The calculator returns the exact resulting date you can use as your deadline.
Many systems return a negative difference if the end date is earlier than the start date. If your UI supports it, you can automatically swap the dates, or display a note telling the user the date order matters.
