Divide file size (MB) by connection speed (MB/s). Remember: internet speed in Mbps ÷ 8 = MB/s. A 10 MB file on a 100 Mbps connection takes about 0.8 seconds.
For a compressed JPEG, 1 MB gives decent quality at moderate resolution. Smartphone cameras typically produce 2-8 MB photos. RAW photos can be 20-50 MB.
