Global Warming Potential (GWP) is a measure that allows comparison of different greenhouse gases based on their heat-trapping ability relative to CO₂. While carbon dioxide is the most abundant greenhouse gas, others like methane (CH₄) and nitrous oxide (N₂O) are far more potent per molecule.
